Julia Baird

Julia Baird is an Australian journalist and author. A trained historian, she earned her doctorate in Sydney in 2005 and subsequently served as a fellow at Harvard University’s Shorenstein Center. She worked as a columnist for the International New York Times and hosted the news program The Drum on Australia’s ABC TV. Her articles appeared in publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, The Sydney Morning Herald, Newsweek, and Harper’s Bazaar.
