Julia Armfield

Julia Armfield was born in London in 1990 and studied Victorian art and literature at Royal Holloway University. Her work includes the short-story collection “salt slow” and the novels “Our Wives Under the Sea” and “Private Rites” (2024). Armfield received the White Review Short Story Prize in 2018 and the Pushcart Prize in 2020. In 2019, she was shortlisted for the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year.
