Judith Kohlenberger

Judith Kohlenberger (born 1986, Dr. phil.) is a cultural studies scholar and migration researcher. She worked, among other places, at the Institute for Social Policy of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, the Austrian Institute for International Affairs and the Jacques Delors Centre in Berlin. Her research focused on forced migration, integration, belonging, education and gender. In autumn 2015, she participated in one of the first European studies of the major refugee movement of that period. Her work received, among other distinctions, the Kurt Rothschild Prize in 2019 and the City of Vienna Advancement Award. Her book “Das Fluchtparadox” (2022) was named Austria’s Science Book of the Year in 2023 and nominated for the German Non-Fiction Prize.
