Juanjo Guarnido

Juanjo Guarnido was born in Granada, Spain, in 1967. He studied fine arts there, graduating with a diploma, and later spent three years working on several animated series in Madrid. In 1993 he moved to Paris, where he worked as a layout artist at the Walt Disney Studios in Montreuil. Together with writer Juan Díaz Canales, he created the comic series *Blacksad*. Guarnido developed a strong interest in drawing as a child and contributed to fanzines during his studies.
