Joshua Foer

Joshua Foer was born in Washington, D.C., and studied science journalism at Yale University. He worked as a freelance journalist for publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Slate. He became known for his book “Moonwalking with Einstein,” which explores techniques of memory. After covering the U.S. Memory Championship as a journalist, Foer trained for the competition himself, won it, and set several U.S. memory records. He is the younger brother of authors Franklin Foer and Jonathan Safran Foer.
