Joseph Campbell

Joseph Campbell (1904–1987) was an American mythology scholar and author. He taught and published numerous books on comparative mythology and the study of religion. He also edited an American edition of the works of C. G. Jung, the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, and Heinrich Zimmer’s American lectures. Campbell was born in New York and died in Honolulu.
