Josef Schmid

Josef Schmid, born in 1962, worked as a research associate at the Research Centre for Contemporary History in Hamburg from 1997 to 2005. He subsequently worked as a freelance historian and writer and, from 2014, also taught as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Hamburg. His publications include “Freiheit und soziale Verantwortung. Der Unternehmer Wilhelm Köhler von 1897 bis 1962” (2016), “Johann Carl Müller (1867–1944). Eine Biografie” (2019), and, with Dirk Wegner, “Kurt A. Körber. Annäherungen an einen Stifter” (2002).
