Jorge Zepeda Patterson

Jorge Zepeda Patterson (born 1952 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico) is a Mexican writer, journalist, and political analyst. He studied politics, economics, and social sciences at the Sorbonne in Paris and founded or headed several newspapers in Mexico. He also wrote columns for El País and SinEmbargo.mx. His novel Milena or the Most Beautiful Femur in the World earned him the Spanish Premio Planeta, making him the first Mexican author to receive the award. The Corrupt, the second volume of his crime-fiction trilogy, was a finalist for the Dashiell Hammett Award. His novels have been translated into numerous languages.
