Jonah Sievers

Jonah Sievers was born in Hanover in 1971. He studied at the University of Jewish Studies in Heidelberg from 1996 to 1997 and continued his training at Leo Baeck College in London, where he was ordained as a rabbi in 2002. He subsequently served as a community rabbi in Braunschweig and provided pastoral care to other Jewish communities in Lower Saxony. In 2008, he was appointed state rabbi. In 2015, he succeeded Rabbi Ben-Chorin at the synagogue on Pestalozzistraße.
