John Saul

John Saul (born in 1942 in Pasadena, California) is an American author known primarily for horror novels and psychological thrillers. He studied, among other subjects, theater and anthropology but did not complete a degree. He began his writing career with crime novels; after initially failing to find a publisher for them, he turned to horror fiction. His breakthrough as a bestselling author came with the psychological thriller “Suffer the Children,” published in German as “Wehe, wenn sie wiederkehren.”
