John Holloway is a sociologist who held a professorship at the Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades »Alfonso Vélez Pliego« of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico. He has published extensively on Marxist theory, the Zapatista movement and new forms of anticapitalist resistance. His notable books include *Change the World Without Taking Power* (2002), *Crack Capitalism* (2010) and *We Are the Crisis of Capital … and Proud of It: The San Francisco Lectures* (2018). *Change the World Without Taking Power* has been translated into eleven languages.
