John Eliot Gardiner

Sir John Eliot Gardiner, born in England in 1943, is a British conductor. He founded the Monteverdi Choir, the Monteverdi Orchestra, the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Lyon, the English Baroque Soloists and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique. During his career, he conducted numerous major orchestras and worked at leading opera houses.
