Johanna Vogel

Johanna Vogel (born 1933) studied classical philology, German studies and Protestant theology from 1953 onward. In 1975, she received her doctorate under Helmut Gollwitzer with a dissertation on the church and West German rearmament. From 1959 to 1975, she worked in church services with a focus on youth and adult education. She then joined the Munich Adult Education Centre, where she established and directed an educational institution for foreign workers, young people and families until her retirement. From 1998 to 2013, she organized the Pellworm Summer Academy, whose topics included history, politics and literature.
