Joel Osteen is an American author and pastor. He became known for Christian nonfiction books, several of which reached No. 1 on The New York Times bestseller list. As senior pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, he helped shape one of the largest Christian congregations in the United States. His services and television programs attracted an international audience.
