Joel Meyerowitz

Joel Meyerowitz began making spontaneous color photographs on the streets of New York in 1962, including with Tony Ray-Jones and Garry Winogrand. During the 1970s, he played a significant role in changing attitudes toward color photography. He is regarded as a pioneer and influential street photographer, as well as an important teacher of his generation.
