Joachim Becker (born 1968) studied law in Frankfurt am Main from 1987 to 1991. He received his doctorate in 1993 and passed the second state examination in law in 1995. From 1996 onward, he worked as a research assistant at Humboldt University of Berlin. He completed his habilitation in 2000 and was active there as a Privatdozent in constitutional and administrative law, tax and finance law, and social law.
