Joachim B. Schmidt

Joachim B. Schmidt (born 1981) is a Swiss-Icelandic writer. He grew up in the Swiss canton of Graubünden and emigrated to Iceland in 2007. He is particularly known for his novels “Kalmann” and “Tell,” both of which became bestsellers. His work has received several awards, including the Crime Cologne Award. “Kalmann” also placed third in the Swiss Crime Prize, while “Tell” reached number one on the Swiss bestseller list and received the Bündner Literature Prize.
