Jill Murphy

Jill Murphy (1949–2021) was a British author and illustrator. She began writing and illustrating her best-known series about the Worst Witch, Mildred Hubble, as a teenager. She later created the successful and award-winning books about the Elephant family. Both works were adapted for television.
