Jessie Burton

Jessie Burton was born in London in 1982. She studied English and Spanish at the University of Oxford and acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Her debut novel, *The Miniaturist* (2014), received several awards. Her other works include *The Muse* (2016), and she has also written the children’s book *The Restless Girls*. Burton’s books have been translated into numerous languages.
