Jens Becker

Jens Becker, born in Berlin in 1963, studied film directing from 1984 to 1992 at the Konrad Wolf Academy of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg. He worked as a director and writer and was involved in more than 70 feature films, documentaries, docudramas, screenplays and nonfiction books. His credits include “Adamski,” “Tatort,” “Nelly’s Adventure,” “Erich Mielke – Master of Fear” and “1918: Sailors’ Revolt.” Among other honors, Becker received the Jury Prize at the Max Ophüls Prize in 1994, the Grimme Award in 2011 and the Gryphon Award at the Giffoni Film Festival in 2016.
