Jennifer Finney Boylan (born 1958) is an American author. She has published numerous novels and written for The New York Times. Her memoir She's Not There: A Life in Two Genders was published in 2003 and became a bestseller. Boylan was Anna Quindlen Writer-in-Residence at Barnard College and a fellow at Harvard University's Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study from 2022 to 2023. She also worked as a human rights activist and served as a curator for PEN America.
