Jelena Schwarz (1948–2010) was a Russian poet. She was born in Leningrad, now Saint Petersburg, and began writing poetry at an early age. She later became an important figure in the city’s unofficial literary scene. From the beginning of perestroika onward, numerous collections of her poetry were published. Her work was translated into several languages. Her mother, Dina Schwarz, was a dramaturge at the Gorky Theatre.
