Jeff Lemire (born 1976) is a Canadian comics writer and artist. After studying at film school, he turned to comics. His creator-owned works include the Essex County trilogy, The Nobody, Sweet Tooth, The Underwater Welder, Royal City, and Roughneck. He has also written series and graphic novels such as Animal Man, Superboy, Green Arrow, Moon Knight, X-Men, Black Hammer, Gideon Falls, and Descender. Lemire initially self-published his debut, Lost Dogs. His work has earned him, among other honors, the Alex Award, the Joe Shuster Award, and the Eisner Award.
