Jean-Luc Godard

Jean-Luc Godard was initially a film critic for the journal Cahiers du cinéma before beginning to make films himself. As a co-founder of the French New Wave, he became one of the most influential filmmakers of his generation. He also worked as a writer and was known for his avant-garde films.
