Jean Kwok

Jean Kwok was born in Hong Kong as the youngest of seven children. Her family emigrated to Brooklyn, where she worked for a long time in a sweatshop in Chinatown. She was later admitted to Harvard University and financed her studies while supporting her family by holding several jobs at the same time.
