Jasper Fforde

Jasper Fforde (born in 1961 in London) worked in the film industry for twenty years, including as a camera operator, before turning to writing. His debut novel, *The Eyre Affair*, brought him international success in 2001 and became a New York Times bestseller. Fforde is best known for the series featuring literary detective Thursday Next. His other works include the young adult series *The Last Dragonslayer*, which was adapted for television by Sky.
