Janet Skeslien Charles

Janet Skeslien Charles grew up in Montana. After completing her studies, she taught English, French, and creative writing for fifteen years, first in Ukraine, then in the United States and France. She later worked at the American Library in Paris. The story of the librarians who risked their lives for their readers and books there during the Second World War inspired her novel *The Paris Library*.
