Jan-Otmar Hesse

Jan-Otmar Hesse, born in 1968, is a German economic and social historian. His academic career includes a professorship in economic and social history at the University of Bayreuth; he has also worked at Bielefeld University at the intersection of media, cultural and historical studies. His publications include the book “Wirtschaftsgeschichte. Entstehung und Wandel der modernen Wirtschaft” (2019), co-authored with Sebastian Teupe.
