Jamia Wilson is an author, feminist activist, and speaker. She has served as director of the Feminist Press at the City University of New York and as vice president of programs at the Women’s Media Center. Her books include “Young, Gifted, and Black,” “Step Into Your Power: 23 Lessons on How to Live Your Best Life,” “Big Ideas for Young Thinkers,” and “ABC’s of AOC.” She also wrote the foreword and oral history for “Together We Rise: Behind the Scenes at the Protest Heard Around the World” and co-authored “Roadmap for Revolutionaries: Resistance, Advocacy, and Activism for All.” Her writing has appeared in outlets including the New York Times, CNN, the BBC, Elle, Glamour, and Teen Vogue.
