Jakob Martin Strid

Jakob Martin Strid (born 1972) is a Danish cartoonist, author and illustrator. He first became known in Denmark for political and satirical cartoons. He also wrote and illustrated picture books and books for children. One of his best-known works is The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear, which was adapted into a film in 2017. Strid has received several awards, including the Dan Turèll Prize, the Orla Prize and the Danish Crown Prince Couple’s Culture Prize, which he received in 2012.
