Jack London

Jack London (1876–1916), born John Griffith Chaney, was an American writer and journalist. Raised in poverty in California, he worked various jobs, including as a factory worker, sailor, and gold seeker. During the Klondike Gold Rush, he traveled to the region; these experiences later influenced many of his works. From around 1900 onward, he published numerous novels, short stories, reports, and essays. His best-known works include *The Call of the Wild*, *White Fang*, and *The Sea-Wolf*. His writing often explores adventure, the wilderness, and the tension between nature and civilization.
