J. W. Rinzler

J. W. Rinzler (1962–2021) was an American author and served as an executive at Lucasfilm in San Francisco for 15 years. He wrote more than 20 books, including The Making of Star Wars, The Complete Making of Indiana Jones and the graphic novel The Star Wars. Three of his books became New York Times bestsellers, and one became a London Times bestseller. The Making of Alien was named the best translated work on cinema by the Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma. His later publications included the historical space-age thriller All Up and the biography Howard Kazanjian: A Producer’s Life.
