Isabel Kreitz (born 1967 in Hamburg) is a German comic artist and illustrator. She studied at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and at Parsons School of Design in New York. Since the 1990s, she has published numerous comics and graphic novels, including *Die Entdeckung der Currywurst*, adapted from a novel by Uwe Timm, *Der 35. Mai*, adapted from Erich Kästner, *Die Sache mit Sorge*, and *Haarmann*, created with Peer Meter. She is also known for her comic adaptations of Kästner’s children’s books. Kreitz has received several awards, including the Max and Moritz Prize for Best German-Language Comic Artist (2012), the Wilhelm Busch Prize (2019), and the e.o.plauen Prize (2023).
