Iris Murdoch

Iris Murdoch (1919–1999) was an Anglo-Irish philosopher and writer. In addition to philosophical works such as *The Sovereignty of Good* and *Metaphysics as a Guide to Morals*, she wrote 26 novels. She received the Booker Prize in 1978 for *The Sea, The Sea*.
