Iris Antonia Kogler

Iris Antonia Kogler was born in 1977 and trained as a theatre dramaturge. She subsequently worked for several years in the cultural sector. To support herself and later her writing, she took on various jobs, including seamstress, stagehand, trade-fair and stage construction technician, life model and exhibition technician. In 2018, she published the short-story collection “Von Menschen” and the novel “221 Tage”; her novel “Meerestiere” followed in 2019. In 2020, “221 Tage” was shortlisted for the Tolino Media Newcomer Award. She also worked as a teacher of creative writing and of writing for the theatre and novels.
