Ingrid Riedel

Ingrid Riedel (born 1935) studied Protestant theology, literary studies and social psychology, earning doctorates in theology and philosophy. From 1970 to 1984, she was a director of studies at the Evangelische Akademie Hofgeismar. She trained in analytical psychology at the C. G. Jung Institute in Zurich and worked as a Jungian analyst and psychotherapist. Riedel was an honorary professor of the psychology of religion at Goethe University Frankfurt and a lecturer and training analyst at the C. G. Jung Institutes in Zurich and Stuttgart. She published numerous books, including The Secret of the Second Half of Life, Dreams: Guides to New Phases of Life and The Symbolism of Colors.
