Ingeborg Arvola

Ingeborg Arvola (born 1974) is a Norwegian author. She grew up in Pasvikdalen and Tromsø in northern Norway and writes novels for children and adults. She achieved her breakthrough in 2022 with the novel Der Aufbruch, the first volume of the historical Ice Sea trilogy. Inspired by her family history, the book won the Brage Literary Prize and was also nominated for awards including the Nordic Council Literature Prize and the Norwegian Booksellers’ Prize.
