Ildefonso Falcones de Sierra is a Spanish author and lawyer. His debut novel, *Cathedral of the Sea*, became an international success and was adapted as a Netflix series. His other novels include *The Heirs of the Earth*, *The Barefoot Queen*, *The Soul of the World* and *The Tears of the World*. Falcones is married and has four children.
