Ian McDonald

Ian McDonald was born in Manchester in 1960. He initially worked as a television editor and published his first short story at the age of 22. From 1987 onward, he made his living as a writer. Many of his science fiction and fantasy novels received major genre awards, including the Hugo, Locus, and Nebula Awards.
