Ian Graham holds a PhD in physics from the University of Cambridge. He previously led football research at the company Decision Technology. From 2012 to 2023, he headed the research department at Liverpool FC, where he built the first in-house analytics department at a Premier League club. He also founded the sports consultancy Ludonautics, which develops statistical tools for predicting football matches and analysing player performance.
