Huw Lewis Jones (born 1980) is a historian specialising in the history of exploration, as well as an expedition leader, naturalist and author. He worked as a curator at the Scott Polar Research Institute in Cambridge and the National Maritime Museum in London, and taught natural history at the University of Falmouth. His polar travels took him to both the Arctic and the Antarctic. His books include *Mountain Heroes*, which was named Adventure Book of the Year at the World ITB Awards.
