Hubert Reeves

Hubert Reeves was a French-Canadian astrophysicist. From 1953 onward, he served as a scientific adviser to NASA, and from 1960 he worked at the Institute for Space Studies in New York. From 1965, he was also a research director at France’s Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) in Paris. Reeves received numerous scientific distinctions, including the Albert Einstein Prize. He was also appointed Commander of the French Legion of Honour and received major Canadian orders of merit.
