Hortense Ullrich

Hortense Ullrich was born in Saarland and grew up in Bad Homburg, Germany. She studied design in Wiesbaden and initially worked as an editor, section editor and editor-in-chief for various trade magazines. She later wrote screenplays as well as books for children and young adults. Her work includes more than 70 books, which have been translated into over 20 languages. Ullrich also lived in New York with her family for eight years.
