Hilke Rosenboom

Hilke Rosenboom (1957–2008) was born on the island of Juist, Germany. She studied linguistics in Kiel and attended journalism school in Hamburg. She subsequently worked for 15 years as a reporter for the magazine Stern. From 1995 onward, she worked as a freelance writer and published novels for adults as well as stories and novels for children and young adults. Her best-known children’s books include The Tea Princess, Hund Müller, and The Handbook for Princesses. Hilke Rosenboom died in August 2008.
