Hermann Wentker

Hermann Wentker (born 1959) is a German historian. He studied history and German literature at the universities of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Bonn and received his doctorate from the University of Bonn in 1990. From 1998 onward, he headed the Berlin research department of the Institute of Contemporary History Munich–Berlin and was an adjunct professor. His research focuses include British foreign policy in the nineteenth century, the Cold War, and the history of the Soviet occupation zone and the GDR, particularly political parties, the judiciary, and foreign policy.
