Henry Wahlig (born 1980) studied modern and contemporary history in Düsseldorf, Vancouver, and Lausanne. He completed a doctorate at Leibniz University Hannover on the Jewish sports movement during the Nazi era and worked there as a research associate from 2011. As co-author, he contributed to the historical handbook “Juden im Sport während des Nationalsozialismus” (2012). In May 2014, he received the Dr. Bernhard Zimmermann Medal from the Lower Saxony Institute for Sports History. From October 2015, he was responsible for the cultural and events program at the German Football Museum in Dortmund.
