Henry Marsh (born 1950) is an English neurosurgeon. Before studying medicine at the Royal Free Hospital in London, he studied economics, politics and philosophy at Oxford. He subsequently worked as a consultant neurosurgeon at Atkinson Morley’s and St George’s Hospital in London, retiring in 2015. Through a foundation he established, he operated on patients in Ukraine who would otherwise have had no access to medical care. Two award-winning television documentaries focused on his work. Marsh was awarded a British order of merit in 2010. His book “Do No Harm” received the PEN Ackerley Prize in 2015.
