Henry Hoke

Henry Hoke graduated from the California Institute of the Arts, where he taught for five years. His work has appeared in Electric Literature, Triangle House, and The Offing, and he has written several books. His book Ganz wie ein Mensch was a finalist for the 2024 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. In it, Hoke imagined the inner world of a mountain lion; the real animal, P-22, lived in the Hollywood Hills and was euthanized in 2022.
