Henk Schiffmacher

Henk Schiffmacher became known as an Amsterdam-based tattoo artist and tattoo historian. From the 1970s onward, he traveled around the world and assembled an extensive collection of historical and contemporary tattoo ephemera, known as the Schiffmacher Tattoo Heritage. He tattooed numerous rock and pop stars and published more than twenty books as an author, including 1000 Tattoos with TASCHEN. He also created designs for various brands. In 2017, he was appointed a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau.
