Helmut Krausser

Helmut Krausser (born 1964 in Esslingen) was a German writer. He wrote novels, short stories, poetry, diaries, radio plays, stage plays, screenplays and opera libretti, and also composed music. His notable works include the novels Fette Welt, Melodien oder Nachträge zum quecksilbernen Zeitalter, Der große Bagarozy, Eros, Die kleinen Gärten des Maestro Puccini, Einsamkeit und Sex und Mitleid, Die letzten schönen Tage and Ultrachronos. He received the Tukan Prize of the City of Munich for Melodien. Several of his novels were adapted for film, and his works were translated into numerous languages.
